The EE Alumni Association is pleased to announce that the Jackie Parker Memorial Golf Classic, presented by James H. Brown & Associates, is making a triumphant return September 5th at The Quarry Golf Club.
The tournament, which will raise funds for the Alumni Association's Community Fund and the Players' Support Fund (to assist former EE players in need), was originally launched in 2008 and ran until 2013.
A superstar who led Edmonton to its "Original Dynasty" of three straight Grey Cups in 1954, '55 and '56, Jackie Parker's talent was unparalleled. His 84 yard touchdown run in the 1954 Grey Cup remains one of the CFL's most memorable plays. Parker is a member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and his name is enshrined on the Wall of Honour at Commonwealth Stadium.

The EE Alumni Association was founded in 1986 on the principles of football, fellowship and community service.
Thanks to our supporters and sponsors, the EEAA has raised tens of thousands of dollars for grassroots football in northern Alberta, provided scholarships for players at the University of Alberta and the Edmonton Huskies and Edmonton Wildcats junior programs. In addition, the EEAA has raised money for its Community Fund which provides financial support for charities throughout northern Alberta. Over the past 38 years, the EEAA has raised and donated over 1.75 million dollars to these charities through its alumni charity golf tournament, the annual Wine Fest, and volunteering at casinos, and volunteered tens of thousands of hours for worthy causes. Finally, the welfare of former players is a central pillar of the EEAA's mandate. The EEAA provides confidental access to financial assistance, counselling, and wellness programs through the Players' Support Group.
